Fordite or Detroit Agate Reversible Pendant

Fordite or Detroit Agate Reversible Pendant with a Sterling Silver bail. Both sides have completely different patterns. Cut, shaped and polished in our workshop. Black and white and charcoal gray swirls with a little dark red. Fordite jewelry is a definite a conversational piece. At one time automobiles were spray painted by hand. Over time the paint would build up layer upon layer on the tracks where vehicles rested on while being painted. The overspray would bake and  be hardened with the heat. It became heavy and would have to be peeled off. Fordite is becoming a scarce material and is hard to come by. It is unique and very eye catching.  Height 1 3/4″.  Width  1/2″.  (W7)
