Fordite or Detroit Agate. Reversible Pendant with a Sterling Silver bail. Handmade in our workshop and designed to be one of a kind. Colors are red, white, blue and black. Many years ago automobiles were all hand sprayed. The overspray would build up in layers on the skids and tracks where they did the painting. When it became hard and heavy it had to be removed. Some of the thick layers of paint were saved by the workers because of the beauty of the swirls and bright colors. When automobile painting became automated there was little or no overspray.
