Fordite or Detroit Agate Pendant with a Sterling Silver bail. Handmade in our workshop. The colors are swirls of red, blue, white and black. Fordite is layer upon layer of dried paint that built up in automobile factories long ago. Before automobile painting became automated they were spray painted by hand. Due to the overspray hundreds of layers of paint would build up. It would dry and harden with the heat. It would eventually have to be removed. This scarce material makes eye catching pendants.
