A shimmering Green Aventurine slab from India. This came from a large chunk and was cut into slabs in our workshop. Green Aventurine is a crystal and a member of the quartz family. This lime colored shade of green is the result of tiny fuchsite particles. It is very translucent and will sparkle in the sunlight. Green Aventurine was first discovered in1837. The largest and most important deposits come out of Southern India. Green Aventurine is commonly used for figurines, sculptures, beads and cabochons for jewelry. Width 7″. Height 2 1/4″.
