Kona Dolomite Slab from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This was cut from a large chunk in my workshop. The colors are pink and red. This is due to the iron ore found.in the rock. Kona Dolomite is said to be over 2 billion years old. The stone is only found in the Marquette County Quarry. Kona Dolomite can be used for making very attractive cabochons. Width 3 7/8″.
