Petoskey Stone Reversible Pendant wire wrapped in copper. We hunt for Petoskey stones on the Northern beaches of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. We like to out beachcombing after a storm churns up more stones. Our pendants are shaped and polished in our lapidary workshop. Petoskey Stones are brown to dark and light gray. A good Petoskey stone will show the six sided honeycomb or coral colony with a dark eye throughout the stone. Petoskey stone was designated as the State stone of Michigan in 1965.
