Petrified Wood Limb cast cut and polished to a mirror finish in my workshop. This specimen was found in Texas. Petrified wood is the result of flooding that took place millions of years ago. The wood is buried deep in the muck and is deprived of oxygen. The minerals in the soil then replace the wood. The wood then fossilizes over that millions of years time frame. The bark is still clearly visible on the limb. The colors are brown, gold and tan colors . A very nice size specimen for display. Length 7″ width 2 1/2″ weight 1 lb. 4 oz.
