Petrified Wood cut and polished to a mirror finish in my lapidary workshop. Due to flooding millions of years ago, trees and limbs were washed away and buried in the muck where they could not get oxygen. Over millions of years the minerals in the ground replaced the wood and it fossilized or petrified . The color ranges from chocolate to light brown and tan. This has a very nice grain pattern running through it. Great collector’s specimen. Length is 3″. Width 2 1/2″. Weight 1 lb.
