Puddingstone Pendant With a Sterling bail

Puddingstone Pendant with a Sterling Silver bail. We collect our own Michigan stones. This stone was cut shaped and polished in our Lapidary workshop. The colors are red and tan with much of the matrix made up of quartz. Puddingstone was named by British settlers who once occupied Drummond Island. They said it reminded them of their traditional English pudding. Pudding Stone was brought down with the glacial ice sheets and spread across the state.  It is a conglomerate with Red Jasper, black chert and semi transparent quartz.  Height 1 3/4″   Width 7/8″  (Puddingstone in background not included)   (J5)
