Sodalite Pendant with a Sterling Silver bail. Edgy and geometrically shaped stone cut shaped and polished in our lapidary workshop. Rich royal blue, light blue and streaks of white. The patterns in the stone evoke images of deep oceans. Blue is a rare color for rocks and minerals. Sodalite was originally discovered in Greenland in 1806. Most raw, unpolished sodalite stones glow in the dark with an ultraviolet light. It is a feldspathoid mineral. Measures 2″ x 3/4″. (A5)
